자원과 기계/기술에 인간을 유기적으로 결합시키면서 제조업 또는 서비스업에서 생산을 행하는 활동 전역에 걸쳐서 능률화를 도모하는 포괄적인 분야를 다룬다. 국가간 장벽이 허물어지고 스피드가 경쟁력이 되는 무한 경쟁의 21세기에는 기업의 생산관리 시스템은 기업의 성공과 실패를 결정짓는 요인이 될 것이다. 본 교과 과정을 통하여 생산운영관리의 구성 요소와 관련된 모델과 기본이론을 다루고 실습을 통해 기초를 다짐으로써 생산운영관리 전반에 걸친 기본개념을 정립한다.

Production includes services as well as manufacturing in a broad sense. In 21th century that is the age of limitless competition, the production and operations management system is a critical factor for the leading companies. This course deals with basic concepts and methods of production and operations management.
