Department of Music
Ever since it was established as the Department of Music in 1970 based on the educational foundation spirit of Sangmyung University, this Department has been divided into piano, vocal music, new media composition, and orchestral music majors. It is nurturing human resources to lead the music industry of South Korea with the vision of ‘Cultivating convergent musicians who communicate with the world’ based on systematic theories and practicum-centered education. It carries out not only practicability but also 'human character-centered education' and runs a curriculum reflecting the spirit of the era as it aims for the ‘popularization of arts’ connected with advanced industries.
